The Family of Cheese...

I was cleaning up my fb account this evening and came across a post my little (not so little anymore) sister came up last year for my bday...here's an excerpt of it:

Suey, it’s hard to put into words the things I want to say, just to tell you how special you are to me each and every day. I want you to know what a joy it is to have you in my life as a sister.
Sorry if I disappoint you sometimes, make you feel bad because I’m not doing good. You taught me to share and to be contented of what I have in life. You taught me how to value my studies and to work hard on it for my own good. I want to tell you that you made a difference in my life. You taught me many things, learned many things from you and I thank you for that. Knowing that you’re always behind me has made me stronger to move forward and face with courage the challenges that come.
You’re cooler than any other girl that I have ever met. You’re good at everything and I really admire you because of that. Suey, you are a wonderful person. You have brought great happiness to my life, to Mama and Papa’s, and to the lives of everyone else you have touched. I may not always tell you how it is having you as a sister or how much I've enjoyed all that we've shared over the years, but I always feel lucky having you in my life.
May the love you have shown to others return to you, multiplied. I wish you the happiest of birthdays and many more, so that others have time to appreciate you as much as I do. Most of all, I hope you will always be as happy as you have made us.
SOBRANG CHEEZY NOH? Hahahahahaha!
HAAAAPY BIRTHDAAAY, SUEY! I LOOOOOVE YOU! :)))

My Sister is cheesy. Labyutooo! (hehe!)

It was an apparent elation. What I felt after reading it.  In a family like ours, we often hear I LOVE YOU being uttered to each other most especially to our folks. Those warm hugs that never fail to assure us comfort and the sweet kisses that drives away the darkest days, we've experienced these fully.

Sabi ko, cheesy nga, baduy, but it's a one big happy meal that feeds the heart.

The endearment that is oh so sweet, it unlike any other feeling.

I paused to thank  the Lord for giving me this blessing- a wonderful family and upbringing, and the freedom and desire to express how we truly feel towards the special people in our lives.

Experiencing love and the opportunity to return it to others- is a gift. Every second with these special people in our lives counts...Every day spent with them is a blessing. Don't waste it. Don't let it pass without saying a word of gratitude and love.

The best answers are always from above...

Sometimes when things happen to us (good or bad), our initial reaction when it strikes would be to ask, "why is this happening to me? did i deserve this?"

We are programmed to believe that everything that occurs, different circumstances are manufactured by a causal effect. Whether this theory applies to all or not is not a question to me. I have always believed, that there is such a thing as "grace" that overpowers these forces.

For weeks, it has been a confusing journey for me. I struggled, fought and over-analyzed things. Things that were happening to me at the moment. I asked a lot of questions, hesitated, doubted, played hopeful and lost it.

I am grateful for having with me friends (blessings) that never failed to remind me to always and especially during tough times, never forget and fail to seek for His wisdom. To pray for a discerning heart and mind. To pray that He reveal His plans. To know which path to take. To pray for guidance and strength. To pray for grace.

And true enough, today He gave me His answers. Brief and Clear.

I couldn't thank Him enough for saving me on this one (another one at that).

Jesus, you're the best.
