The Adventures of Doris the Explorer (Santorini)

Doris took an indefinite sabbatical.

She is currently enjoying THE santorini breeze and a magical sunset view of the atlantic ocean.

She holds a glass of ice cold green tea mojitos on one hand and a relatively worn-out paintbrush on the other.

By this time she’s enjoyed a laid back day, that sunburn gives her shoulders a prickling feel.

Ah, today she’s rekindled a long forgotten passion. This gives her pleasure.

Breathes...

She likes the music. That guy in the bar knows good music.

They’re playing cayman islands, kings of convenience, acoustic. Perfect fit.

It’s crazy, she enjoys this too much.

She starts thinking of quitting her day job back in Manila.

Leave everything behind. Pursue something of a greater good,  of higher purpose, only in another space.

Loud crash of glass breaking cuts in her chain of thoughts.

Oh, it’s that old fat greek fellow in the next table. Too intoxicated to handle his glass of vodka. Could be his last? Nah.

-carpe diem-
