"Lord? Matutuloy ba tlaga tong trip na to? Because this is going to be the only decent vacation that I will ever get for 2011 and won't you give this one to me? Worked my ass off the entire year. Kaso, ilang beses nang na postpone. Bumaha pa sa Thailand. Problems with my friend's visa. Canceled Flights. Why? Matutuloy pa ba to? "
Okay, this was me. Months ago. Well a few weeks ago. Like most of us, I doubted and worried. And worried a lot.
I forgot that MY GOD...OUR GOD gives us only the RIGHT and the PERFECT timing for everything. I have forgotten the FACT that He Loves me. He has a covenant with me. He promised only great things for me. He has a plan for me and He will never let me go. Ugh..boooo to me.
Today, I realized not only how faithful He is to me and to all of us.
I realized that all the sloppy things that I thought had crashed into me is actually His way of saving me for a better moment and opportunity to take that much needed vacation. To top it all, He's made it so easy for me along the way and cleared my seemingly impossible schedule at work- but noting is impossible for Him. Right! I finally finally finished my 1-year old corporate paper for grad school. I'll be leaving with no more worries! Okay, kulang pa pala pocket money ko. :-)
PS: Lord, some more provisions won't hurt. Yes! heheh!
To all who prayed with me. And helped me. For this trip to finally happen. Well, its about to. Can't wait for tomorrow! I can't wait to tell you about it soon! I can't wait to finally take photos.
Yay! Thailand-Cambodia-Vietnam. Here I come!
So, today, I'll leave you with a constant reminder from this blog. For those of you who are waiting and praying for something. Trust and have faith in this.
Someday, it will be perfect. Because if it's His will. It will be perfect.

Seasons
It has been a crazy, crazy week. Ugh..and that is the understatement of the year. Hahaha!
I have been juggling piles of office work, errands for good ole friends, my SCHOOOOOL PAPEEER which I have to finish, hard bind and submit two days from today and of course my INDOCHINA trip coming up which I cannot wait to post here!
Yay! Giddy! Giddy! But not that much yet! Not until I finish everything more important. :-)
Lately, Development Work has been crossing my mind. It has been, even years back. But my recent choices never really served the realization of that desire. So I resolved to consult the best adviser of life and beyond-- My Lord and Savior.
So, my season for discovery, waiting and discerning officially starts! And just as I am right now, all of us will come to a point in our lives when we start asking "What do we want to do with the gifts God gave us?", "Where must we go with our dreams?" and "Where will we be truly happy?"
Doing lots of introspection lately- which is good actually.
And I'll leave you with a line I read yesterday from Steve Jobs' commencement speech in Stanford he did years ago.
"You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle."
PS
I've been doing Raja Yoga lately. The experience, so far, has been fun and liberating and reinforcing my faith. Okay, I haven't blogged about that (booo-hooo!). But I will in my next next posts. PROMISE!

Bailey's
So, I'm not much of a "party person".
Most of the time I'd prefer staying at home couching my way to a good movie or feeling the crisp sound of pages turned while reading a new book than drink and party all night with friends .
The Bonnie Bailey concert at Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao was the closest I can get for an Octoberfest 2011.
Cheers to a wonderful night everyone!!!

Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan (2010)
Hi guys! Its September once again the start of the “BER” months. Yay! As a welcome bash, I will be starting a new series of posts in my blog covering some of my most unforgettable travel experience. I will also try to come up with a collection of memories and useful tips for sharing. I may post some trips way back, but this might take a while-need to scan oldie pictures pa. hehehe!
I got a wonderful blessing and opportunity (thank you Lord) to visit Palawan last year with my friend John Jay and his mom Tita Virgie. It took me a while to finally post these photos. I really wanted to give Majestic Palawan a well-documented write-up with all the right adjectives written for justice.
With this, I did a standard template for all travel posts. And here is my first attempt at it. Read away!
Best time to visit: Summer or anytime sunny. (One, the beach is really best experienced with the heat of the sun touching the skin. We came on a December so it’s sort of raining and gloomy the whole time. Two, there are instances, specifically on rainy seasons when the Underground River is closed for tours.
Must-see/visit: Underground River, Honda bay- Starfish and Snake Island, among others.
Best place to eat: KA LUI is definitely a winner!
Best activity: Fish-feeding and diving!
Where to shop: Rizal Avenue where all the cheap finds converge. Hahah!
Bits more:
- Puerto Prinsesa strictly prohibits smoking and littering and they are on citizen arrest. Sorry for the smokers. But it’s super clean and smoke-free everywhere.
- Food is really cheap in Palawan. Actually, almost everything is sooo affordable! Good for kuripot people like me! Heheh!
- The Tourism Industry and the system for tourists are very commendable. Tour guides, divers and all tourist attendants are extra friendly and warm and well-trained.
- Primary mode of transportation around the city is pedicab.
- Bawal ang maarte (for lack of better terms). Hahaha! During day tours and few stop-over, the possibility of getting wet all over, slipping, falling, getting bruised or cut needs to be clear and welcomed with caution. All part of lovely and memorable trip!
Next Palawan destination, Coron!

SURPRISE!!!
Hello fellaaaas! Eeeenk! Here comes the excuse introduction from the delinquent blogger.
-----------------------------------------------
Okay, skipping the “it’s-been-such-a-long-time-since-my-last-post” classic excuse this time… (wink!)
Let me share to you a wonderful blessing the Lord gave which surprised to me today.
So, for weeks now, I have been researching, drafting, revising, submitting, re-drafting, revising, overhauling, reinventing and making so many failed attempts at writing two very important write-ups for my company due this September.
Admittedly, I have been putting quite a serious amount of thinking and effort on them and each attempt and finished draft seems to always lead me to a potential disappointment.
TOO STRAIGHTFORWARD… BORING… UNINSPIRING… WALANG IMPACT… UNATTRACTIVE. LACKS INFORMATION. CHANGE. REVISE.
For a go-getter like me, these comments are detrimental to the heart- the self-esteem to boot. But as a person, I was taught about humility and those lessons allowed me to trust that in each failed attempt, each rebuke and each disappointment encountered is a chance to learn and master the act of offering grace to others and an opportunity to grow and improve some more.
True enough, the Lord never fails us. He knows what we need even before we know it. His surprises are the most Epic (let me use this term to keep up with the fad of mainstream clichés. In bisaya, pauso words ba. Wahaha!).
Well, to my surprise, I got a text msg from our company’s President (yes, PRESIDENT) early this morning informing me of a meeting to finalize the write-ups I'm making (as mentioned above).
To make the long story short, after our meeting, not only did I get a free lunch and a rare opportunity to share thoughts with my boss, I got all my questions answered, got more points from him than what I had in mind and may bonus tips pa from the president himself!
To make the long story short, after our meeting, not only did I get a free lunch and a rare opportunity to share thoughts with my boss, I got all my questions answered, got more points from him than what I had in mind and may bonus tips pa from the president himself!
To top my super day, I got THE ULTIMATE INSPIRATION to come up with better, more creative outputs all ready for presentation next week. Beat that!!! Yayyyy! Okay, so nasa cloud 9 ako kanina…share ko lang. hahaha!
The BEST talaga Si Lord. He grants our prayers even in unimaginable ways! Kaya even during our lowest, most desperate times, let us continue praising and glorifying Him. Because He will never forsake us. He will never fail us. Trust and believe, in time it will be perfect. Because if it’s His will, it will be perfect. Thank you!!! I am sooo humbled by this day.
Let me end this post with the perfect verse that I believe would sum up this post which our dear Pastor Alvin also recently shared in one of his FB posts.
Psalms 37:4, "Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart."

PEDRO ARRUPE
"Nothing is more practical than finding God, that is, than falling in love in a quite absolute, final way. What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination will affect everything . It will decide what will get you out of bed in the mornings, what you will do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love, stay in love and it will decide everything."
- PEDRO ARRUPE
its another Monday tomorrow- not too manic hopefully.
start of the week!yaay!
so let us start it right! start it bright!
wake up! jump up!
say a little prayer! take a little walk!
have that hearty breakfast! hot coffee for you, some tea for me!
pack-up! wear your best self!
grab that SMILE and off to work!

Belated Happy Birthday!!!
"My gifts are not mine. They are the Lord's" - I super agree with this. This is now officially my favorite thought of the day. (hahah!kalokaah!)
4 days ago was my birthday. Happy birthday to me!! Yey! Yey! I am another year older. Funny I don't feel that old. haha! I had a good birthday. It was perfect. I got to celebrate with my most favorite people in the world - my family and friends!

Posting a b-day post my best friend Ara made in her super cool blog. Super thaaaaank you Rang! Love this post! Love you!

25th, Suey
The high school yearbook affirms the girl’s consistency. She had always been great with conversations; she fills the classroom with laughter. You could just sit and watch her the whole day as she combines her childlike ways with her hilarious antics; she could give you a terrible case of stomach ache and jaw pain. She is always known to be very outgoing and approachable. And for her classmates in Agriculture/Fishery Arts, she is Janice’s “very hardworking” plot partner.
The high school yearbook also tells us of a catch: her system lacks a lot of memory chips. Imagine how her retainers ended up in somebody’s garden (there’s a fridge version to that, too), her eyeglasses inside her school shoes, etcetera etcetera. As her officemates would put, “Kung pwede lang mabilin lang ang char somewhere, ikapila na siguro sya nabuntis”.
For us, she always feels like home – a warm company, full of insights, never afraid to share herself to others. At 25, she exudes grace and sophistication in thoughts and deed. At the same time, she rocks every barkada hang out, befriending kuya waiters and catching up with the juice and saging vendors outside USEP. And they still remember her as the girl from Lab School.
At 25, she is super and extraordinary, seemingly overdosed with Vitamin C, full of humor even when under pressure, bubbly even when it’s past midnight. At 25, she's highly accomplished, not only in the career one has chosen, but also in the realm of touching lives and inspiring souls. It is no wonder why she’s everybody’s best friend.
To the light of our lives, happy birthday, dear Suey. May you always be blessed multi fold.

To the light of our lives, happy birthday, dear Suey. May you always be blessed multi fold.
(This is the part where we raise our Jagermeister tubes to make a toast, then bottoms up.)

OF ROOFIES, BILLIARDS and HOLDINGS HAND
Suey : who is "suey's friend" again? because categorically, a lot wud qualify for that. haha!
Ara : by suey's friend, i mean the potential victim of the 'roofie'. time to give it a try. just make sure you won't put it into your drink. right, Gab? :)
Gab: if suey puts it in her own drink, we might be in for a good show :)
Ara: you have a point, gabby. suey, ching, krong and all their antics could give the cast of How I Met Your Mother a run for their money. okay suey, you have our consent. you can put it in your drink :)
This conversation is funny and at the same time humiliating- on my part. (hahaha!) I love this night I just needed to document it. Too bad Julie had to miss this.
I have undeniably the best bunch of high school friends ever. I must have done something good to deserve them.
I can talk to them about everything and anything imaginable and unimaginable (haha!). We looove non-stop laughing, bullying and being nostalgic.

But on this particular night we just decided to talk about a few random not so decent stuff like “rooofie” (rohypnol), teen ignorance and orgies, the proposed end of the world, the jagermeister, John2 the waiter who looked like Alonzo, billiards (and the two-time champion of the night -Ehemm!), Michael Jackson’s nose, the cowboy in the picture whom we didn’t recognize, and the well-loved line of the night- Ching's " wala jud mi ng.holdings hand!!”. hahaha!
I love you AME friends, you’re the best! (photos to follow..)

FAST 5 and FIVE reasons IN THE REAR.
Haaaay…it has been a long long time since I’ve written something not work related.
So here goes a brain fart for tonight fellas! Taaaaaaaah Daaaaah!
I’ll write about a film series I never failed to miss on the big screen and the grounds that unfailingly leave an enforced stop to the nearest movie house- the Fast and the Furious Series.
1. THE HOT CARS
Did you know that there were actually 22 (witweew!) sweet cars showcased in the recent (Fast 5) movie? I know, right?? I was like, “Reaally??? But I saw only 5?! Minus the police cars.” (haha!)
Okay. So I wasn’t that vigilant with my car pursuit.
The classic Dodge Charger (of Dom Toretto) is a legend.
I'm a Honda girl forever..so i can never miss liking the NSX.
2. PAUL WALKER
3. PAUL WALKER
4. PAUL WALKER
5. PAUL WALKER
Hahaha! Walay klaro!
This fellow right here has been in my “Who is your celebrity crush?” corner since high school, hence, he became the core reason for this film compulsion (REASON 2-5).
But seriously, he’s got to be the prettiest, most stunning guy I’ve ever seen on a plain shirt, jeans and sneakers. That’s his signature look by the way. You’ll see him driving and wearing this in the whole series. Plain Shirt, Jeans, Sneakers and a boy watch. Yumm! (hahahah!)
